The tenth Sunday of the NFL season saw the final team fall from the ranks of the unbeatens, a result that hasn't been seen in nearly four years, and a defensive battle at Soldier Field.
First up in New Orleans, Drew Brees and the Saints handed the Falcons their first loss of the season. Brees connected with tight end Jimmy Graham for a pair of scores. Atlanta QB Matt Ryan amassed 411 yards through the air and found Tony Gonzalez for the 100th touchdown of his career but it was in a losing effort as the Falcons came up short against the Saints, 31-27.
Next up in San Francisco, 75 minutes wasn't enough to find a winner between the Rams and 49ers in an NFC West showdown. David Akers booted a 33 yard field goal with just three seconds remaining in regulation tying the game at 24. However, both teams missed potential game winning field goals in the extra session and time ran out as the Niners and Rams played the NFL's first tied game since 2008, 24-24.
And finally in Chicago, the Texans held off the Bears in a defensive battle at a soggy Soldier Field. Jay Cutler was picked off twice before leaving the game with a concussion. Matt Schaub completed 14 passes for just 95 yards and also threw a pair of interceptions, but connected with Arian Foster on a two yard score that accounted for the game's only touchdown. Houston improves to 8-1 on the year while handing Chicago its first home loss, 13-6.
Week 10 wraps up Monday when the Pittsburgh Steelers try for their fourth straight win as they host the 1-7 Kansas City Chiefs.
