Dwight Howard took the floor for the first time against his former team as the Lakers tipped with the Magic at STAPLES Center. Aaron Afflalo beat the first half buzzer for three of his team high 30 points but Howard made his presence felt in the third quarter. Howard's slam off the perfect lob from Kobe Bryant gave LA a six point edge late in the third however Orlando was too much for the Lakers to handle down the stretch. Jameer Nelson's back to back threes put the game on ice as the Magic dropped Superman and the Lakers 113-103.
