Blake Griffin has informed the Los Angeles Clippers that he intends to sign a five-year contract extension even though he can't officially sign the new deal until July 11th. The all-star power forward could earn as much as $95 million over the course of the extension if he is voted an all-star starter again or named to a second All-NBA team next season. The 23-year old high-flyer averaged 20.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game as the Clippers advanced to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
