Denny Hamlin earned his first career pole at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a lap time of just under 49-and-a-quarter seconds. Hamlin reached a top end speed of almost 183 miles-per-hour as he cruised around the Brickyard. The pole is Hamlin's second of the season and the eleventh of his career.
