Yankees Pound Orioles, Avoid Sweep

The Yankees avoided a sweep after crushing the Orioles in the finale of their three-game set with the Orioles. Robinson Cano hit a grand slam in a seven-run third inning for the Bombers. Phil Hughes lowered his era to under 4 after giving up only one run in six innings. After not pitching since Joba Chamberlain returned from elbow and ankle injuries and gave up two runs on four hits and a walk in 1 and 1/3 innings. Baltimore starter Zach Britton didn't make it out of the 3rd inning as the Yankees embarrassed the Orioles, 12-3.
