The Angels fell to the Tigers at Comerica Park on Wednesday night. Albert Pujols opened up the scoring in the top of the first with his 17th home run of the year, a solo shot to left off Doug Fister. However, the Detroit starter cruised after that. Fister allowed just the lone run and two hits over eight innings while striking out a season-high 10. Los Angeles' hurler, C.J. Wilson, was no match for Fister. The left-hander gave up seven earned runs, eight hits and five walks in six innings of work as the Tigers bested the Angels 7-2.
