Charlie Manuel picked up his 900th career win in dramatic fashion as the Phillies edged the Rays at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday afternoon. Jimmy Rollins and Juan Pierre both homered as Philidelphia took a two-run lead tino the ninth. But, Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon couldn't seal the deal. The free-agent acquisition blew his first save of the year by giving up back-to-back, two-out RBI singles to Jeff Keppinger and Brooks Conrad. However, Jim Thome, picked up Papelbon with a pinch-hit solo homer off reliever Jake McGee that gave Philadelphia a thrilling 7-6 victory over Tampa Bay. Thome's jack increased his major league leading career walk-off home run total to 13.
