Carlos Lee would follow up with an RBI of his own, but that would be all of Miami's offense for the night. Starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano went 5 plus giving up 4 earned runs, all coming in a 5-run sixth inning for the Padres. Zambrano fell to 5-9 on the season while Padres Kip Wells earned the win as San Diego handed Miami their 8th loss in their last 9 games, 7-2.
