The Cardinals became the 1st team in eight years to homer in each of the first five innings as St. Louis outslugged the Cubs on Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field. Travis Wood took the loss and matched a team record by allowing five home runs. Matt Holliday, Yadier Molina, Lance Berkman, Matt Carpenter and Allen Craig all went deep off the Chicago starter. Lance Lynn picked up his NL lead-tying 13th victory despite allowing six runs and eight hits in five innings of work as the Cards dropped the Cubs, 9-6
