The Red Sox rallied in the bottom of the ninth to defeat the White Sox in dramatic fashion on Thursday night. Boston starter Clay Buchholz gave up one run and six hits while striking out six in his eight innings of work. However, Chicago rookie Jose Quintana was just a little bit better after Quintana tossed eight scoreless innings, allowing just five base runners. But the White Sox bullpen let him down in the bottom of the ninth as Cody Ross crushed Addison Reed's pitch over the Green Monster for a walk-off, three-run homer that gave the Red Sox a thrilling 3-1 victory.
