The Pirates rallied late to beat the Astros on Friday night at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Jeff Karstens went 5 innings for Pittsburgh, giving up 4 earned runs on 6 hits while fanning 7. Houston's Chris Johnson went 3-4 and fell a single shy of hitting for the cycle. Astros starter Jordan Lyles lasted 6 innings surrendering 4 earned runs on 7 hits but didn't factor in the decision.
