Pittsburgh Pirates Defeat Sloppy Brewers

The Pittsburgh Pirates took advantage of costly mistakes as they defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-4. MVP Candidate Andrew McCutchen blasted his 20th homer of the year in the victory.

The Pirates took down the Brewers at Miller Park on Saturday night. MVP candidate Andrew McCutchen's 20th home run of the year, a two run blast off starter Marco Estrada in the top of the third tied the score at two. Milwaukee answered in the bottom of the frame on a run scoring error from Pittsburgh third baseman Pedro Alvarez and an RBI sac-fly from Corey Hart. However, the Buccos rallied to take the lead in the seventh thanks to some costly mistakes from the Brew Crew. Reliever Kameron Loe's throwing error allowed Clint Barmes to score the tying run from second then two batters later catcher Martin Maldonado was credited with a passed ball that enabled Josh Harrison to score the go-ahead run in Pittsburgh's 6-4 road win.
