The White Sox were doubled up by the Royals at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday night. Right-hander Jake Peavy got knocked around for six runs and twelve hits over seven innings of work. The veteran's record dropped to 7-6 while his ERA rose to 3.12. Adam Dunn hit a solo home run, his 27th of the year, as Chicago drew even at three in the top of the six. But Dunn was no match for Alcides Escobar. Kansas City's shortstop went 2-for-4 with two homers and 3 RBI. Escobar's second blast of the game, a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh, proved to be the difference as the Royals topped the White Sox 6-3.
