Miami Marlins Rally Past Brewers

Hanley Ramirez's RBI single gave the Marlins a 7-6 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in ten innings. Gaby Sanchez tied the game in the top of the ninth with a solo homer off John Axford.

The Marlins edged the Brewers on the same day they acquired first baseman Carlos Lee from the Astros. Miami trailed 5-1 going into the seventh before the bats came to life. Justin Ruggiano crushed a solo homer to left, then Logan Morrison delivered the big blow with a three run, pinch hit homer to tie it at five. Aramis Ramirez reclaimed the lead for Milwaukee with an RBI single in the home half of the inning but with two outs in the ninth, Gaby Sanchez launched a solo homer off closer John Axford to send the game to extras. Hanley Ramirez drove in the go ahead run with a single to center. Bell converted his 18th save of the year as Miami edged the Brewers, 7-6 in ten innings.
