The Angels scored eight runs off the Rangers' new starter Ryan Dempster, but it somehow wasn't enough as C.J. Wilson and the Halos' bullpen combined to give up 14 earned runs in a 15-9 loss.

The Angels dropped their series finale to the Rangers in a slugfest in Arlington. Halos starter CJ Wilson was roughed up over five and a third in the loss, allowing 8 runs on 10 hits against his former team. With the score tied at 8 going into the seventh, the Rangers put four runs on the board to take a commanding lead and then added 3 more in the 8th to put the game out of reach. Mark Trumbo and Kendrys Morales homered off Ryan Dempster who was making his first start with the Rangers however the Angels fell for the second straight night in Texas, 15-9.
