The Mets completed a three game sweep of the Orioles on Wednesday night at Citi Field. New York took a 4-0 lead in the sixth thanks to David Wright's ground rule double to deep center. Dillon Gee was sharp over 7 and a third, striking out nine and allowing just three hits and two runs. Baltimore had not scored a run in the series until the 8th inning when Wilson Betemit tattooed a Gee pitch to right field to cut the score in half, but it wasn't enough as the Mets held on to sweep the O's 4-3.
