Diamondbacks Wrangled by Rangers

The Arizona Diamondbacks were crushed by the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night, 9-1. Ian Kennedy gave up six runs in five and 2/3 innings for the loss. Miguel Montero homered in Arizona's only run.

The Rangers crushed the Diamondbacks in their Interleauge series opener on Tuesday night. Arizona starter Ian Kennedy was roughed up for six runs on 10 hits over five and two third innings. The D-back bats were shut down by Colby Lewis who tossed a complete game giving up just one run, a solo shot to Miguel Montero, on four hits while striking out seven. David Murphy led the charge as he went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI as Texas routed Arizona 9-1.
