The Orioles used a five run inning to down the Red Sox for the second straight night. Boston took a 2-0 lead in the 5th after RBIs from Jacoby Ellsbury and Carl Crawford, but Boston starter Aaron Cook couldn't make the lead hold. Cook took a no hitter into the 6th before ten Baltimore batters went to the plate, scoring five runs to take the lead for good. Rookie starter Miguel Gonzalez picked up the win for the O's, allowing just two runs over six innings with two strikeouts as the Orioles edged the Sox, 5-3.
