The Brewers beat down the Pirates Sunday behind a strong outing by Yovani Gallardo. The righty pitched seven strong innings giving up just onerun on four hits while striking out a career best 14 batters. Pirates starter A.J. Burnett also went seven innings, he gave up four earned runs on nine hits while striking out seven but took the loss. Martin Maldonado capped off a four run sixth inning for the Brewers with an RBI double as the Brew Crew dropped the Bucs 4-1.
