After shooting a disappointing 6 over on Thursday, Tim Herron shot lights out on Friday during round 2 of the Whyndham Championship from Greensboro, NC. The 42-year old recorded a 29 on the back nine, including a 5-straight birdie stretch from holes 13-17, as he finished with a 9-under 61 for the round, tying a course record. He still sits 9-strokes back from the leader, Jimmy Walker, who had a round to remember himself. Walker, eyeing his first PGA Tour Win, shot a 8-under 62 to move to 12-under for the tournament, and has yet to record a bogey in the tournament.
