The Orioles closed their gap with the Yankees in the AL East standings to just one game as they shut down the Blue Jays Monday afternoon. Joe Saunders and three relievers combined for a three hit shutout, with Saunders picking up the win for the first time as a member of the O's. JA Happ took the loss for Toronto, giving up three runs over five innings to fall to 3-2 on the year. JJ Hardy went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI on the day as Baltimore blanked the Jays 4-0 at Rogers Centre.
