The Yankees moved a game in front of the Orioles in the AL East after crushing the Red Sox on Monday night. CC Sabathia was dominant in eight innings of work, giving up just two runs on four hits while striking out seven. New York scored nine runs in the second inning, with homers by Robinson Cano, Curtis Granderson, Russell Martin, and Mark Teixeira. Boston starter Clay Buchholz was torched for all 8 of those runs and lasted only 1 and 2/3rds as the Yankees rolled, 10-2.
