Roles were reversed for Los Angeles's two squads on a bustling Friday night in the NBA. The Lakers showed heart rallying from a twenty-point second half deficit while the Pacific Divison leading Clippers laid an egg in Miami. We begin in Charlotte where the LakeShow got a much needed "W".

(vo) After getting blown out in Boston the night before, L.A. found themselves down twenty in the third quarter against the worst team in basketball. However, Kobe Bryant refused to let his team lose, scoring 14 of his team-high 20 points in the decisive fourth quarter where the Lakers outscored the Bobcats 31-15. The Black Mamba added eight assists and seven rebounds in Los Angeles' 100-93 road victory.

(vo) Moving south to get further away from the snow, the world champion Heat buried the now full-strength Clippers 111-89. LeBron James netted a game-high 30 points on a pristine 9-of-11 shooting night. Miami as a whole shot the lights out, connecting on 53 percent from the field and 56 percent from downtown. The Clips had no excuses with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Jamal Crawford and Chauncey Billups all returning from injury.

It was a bizarre night in the rest of the league as well as perennial doormats Washington, Toronto, New Orleans and Detroit all knocked off teams with winning records. Stay with CineSport for the latest NBA news and give us a follow on twitter at CineSport.
