The Brooklyn Nets need double overtime to take down the Detroit Pistons. But we start first in the Nations Capital where Kobe Bryant and the Lakers ended their four game losing streak with a win over the Wizards.

Bryant scored a game-high 30 points to go with his seven assists. Jodie Meeks chipped in with 24 off the bench as Los Angeles held off the cellar dwelling Wizards 102-96.

Meantime in Brooklyn, Joe Johnson nailed the jumper as time expired in the second overtime, giving the Nets a 107-105 win over the Pistons. Johnson finished with 28 points, scoring Brooklyn's final five in the second extra period.
