The Dodgers were eliminated from playoff contention after falling to the Giants in their second to last game of the season. San Francsico pulled ahead 4-1 after a two run doulbe from Marco Scutaro in the fifth, but Los Angeles rallied to pull within one in the seventh courtesy of an AJ Ellis two run homer. The Dodgers put a runner on in the ninth, but the playoff bound giants closer Sergio Romo closed the door to seal LA's fate, 4-3.
