The Los Angeles Clippers were sent home from the NBA Playoffs after the San Antonio Spurs completed a four-game sweep with a 102-99 victory. Chris Paul recorded 23 points and 11 assists.
The Clippers hoped to avoid a four game sweep to the Spurs as they concluded a busy weekend at Staples Center. Blake Griffin went down late in the first half after an elbow to the face, Griffin would return and contribute in the second half after receiving four stitches to his lip. Griffin's slam gave LA a three point lead in the third, but the Spurs would prove too strong down the stretch in a back and forth contest. Tim Duncan's baby hook broke the tie late in regulation and minutes later, Tony Parker punched San Antonio's ticket into the next round. Parker's floater gave the Spurs a three point lead late and San Antonio hung on to complete the four game sweep of the Clippers, 102-99. The Spurs are 8-0 in the post season and await the winner of the Thunder/Lakers series.
